At Cambridge Consultants, we use artificial intelligence, machine learning and advanced analytics to help our clients deliver world-changing innovation. We are looking for a talented Graduate AI Engineer who is passionate about solving challenging problems using Deep & Machine Learning methods.

About the role

The AI Group within the Wireless and Digital Services division works on a wide variety of projects. In joining our group as an AI Engineer, you’ll be putting AI to use solving real world problems across many of the market sectors Cambridge Consultants operates in. This could be in areas as diverse as improving medical imaging, optimising communications networks, or adding intelligent features to consumer devices.

You will work as part of a project team supported by senior AI Engineers, often alongside domain experts from other disciplines – from mechanical to software engineering, from physics to biology and more. You may find yourself analysing and processing data, implementing machine and deep learning algorithms or training and testing models. You’ll need to be able to communicate well with both colleages and clients, for example, through sharing results, or reporting on an investigation into new technology.

Cambridge Consultants invests in its people, and we aim to provide a supportive environment where you can develop your career through training and mentoring alongside the experience gained working on client projects. Aside from project work, we have many in-house interest groups to share ideas and learn from. You’ll also have the opportunity to propose and develop your own ideas through our Early Investment Program.

What you'll be doing

  • Exploration and processing of data
  • Research and software development for the design, implementation and deployment of Machine Learning systems
  • Communicating the results of your work to your colleagues and clients

What you can bring

  • Python programming experience
  • A good degree in a relevant subject, such as Machine Learning, Computer Science or Engineering
  • Experience using a Deep Learning framework (e.g. PyTorch, TensorFlow or JAX based frameworks)
  • Excellent teamworking skills
