Full Details

Day to Day

As an embedded systems engineer, you will:

Develop both architecture and implementation of embedded software or HDL code
Cooperate on analog, digital and mixed signal circuit designs
Support the scoping of new projects by understanding client requirements and identifying technical challenges
Participate in the development of system architectures and detailed designs in collaboration with engineers from other disciplines
Work on teams producing IoT and IIoT (Industrial Internet of Things) devices and products with flexible connectivity using multiple communications links (e.g. BLE, Wi-Fi, 5G)
Produce and implement test plans to evaluate technologies and verify product functionality against requirements

About You

REQUIRED

An undergraduate degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline
2+ years of industry experience, preferably in product design or technology exploration
A strong understanding of fundamental software development tools and principles
Experience coding in C, particularly at low level.
Experience with embedded software, firmware, and/or FPGA development
Understanding of basic electronic principles and circuit analysis
Ability to work independently/in small teams

DESIRED

Knowledge of Python for processing test results and test and measurement automation
Experience with multitasking and distributed processing
Experience with Real Time Operating Systems
Test and measurement experience with DMMs, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other lab equipment
Knowledge of communications standards and protocols such as Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and ZigBee
An advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in a related field
