Overview

We are looking for an experienced Business Data Analyst to join our IT Services team at Cambridge Consultants.  This is a fantastic opportunity to play a key part in developing business insights to support business and project decisions during a period of accelerated growth.

 

The role

As a Business Data Analyst, you’ll join the Enterprise Applications group and will be responsible for the reporting needs across the entire business.

This is a brand-new position, which gives you the opportunity to make it your own. Cambridge Consultants is a growing business and we’re looking for someone to support this growth by developing and enhancing the requirements of this role.

You’ll join a team of 7, within a wider department of 25, to support the ever-changing needs of the business. You’ll also work closely with some key stakeholders and develop relationships with the huge variety of colleagues from across our 4 divisions.

 

Responsibilities

You will be involved in and responsible for the following tasks:

  • Using tools such as Power BI, Excel and Salesforce reporting to create reports and dashboards that effectively communicate their findings to key stakeholders
  • Analysing report data to interpret the data into business insights to support decision making
  • Developing, expanding and maintaining the current suite of dashboards and interactive reports in Power BI
  • Working with stakeholders to elicit reporting requirements
  • Ensuring that controls are in place to ensure that reports are accurate and timely
  • Supporting the development of the data warehouse through the identification of new data sources and continued verification of existing data sources
  • Working with the Enterprise Applications team in the development of the organisation’s system and data architecture
  • Providing training to stakeholders on how to use and interpret dashboards and reports
  • Providing support for reports and dashboards

 

You

To be successful in this position you will have:

  • At least 2+ years data analyst experience
  • Experience of Power BI and Excel
  • Proficient in SQL to query relational databases
  • Experience of working with APIs to fetch data
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Excellent analytical, presentation and report writing skills
