The Service Desk Team are the face of IT and providing a personal touch is important to us. Together we look to build trust and relationships with our colleagues across the entire business as we solve problems to provide a high level of customer satisfaction.

If you enjoy working within a team that puts customer services at its centre, as well as providing hands-on IT support, then this role may be right for you.

The Team 

You’ll be joining a team of 6, within a wider department of 25, and play a key part in providing IT Support to over 700 internal customers.

The role is hands-on with plenty of opportunity for face-to-face contact with the huge variety of colleagues working at Cambridge Consultants. We’re providing technical support to corporate staff, engineers, scientists and more!

The team work on a rota to cover core business hours of 8am to 6pm Monday to Friday, we offer hybrid working and there’s always flexibility for ad-hoc adjustments and the team are often willing to swap shifts when needed.

What you’ll be doing

Your days will be varied, but on a typical day you can expect to be involved in the following tasks:

  • Provide telephone, email and desk-side based IT support
  • Configure and deploy desktops, laptops and mobile devices
  • General servicing and proactive maintenance of hardware
  • Create and manage support tickets
  • Support for audio visual and video conference systems
  • Provide IT familiarisation sessions with new recruits

What you can bring

We’re looking for applicants with experience in the following:

  • Relevant experience in an IT Support role
  • A passion for customer service and the desire to work effectively as part of a team
  • The desire to learn and apply attention to detail
  • Good interpersonal, communication and time management skills
  • Experience of supporting Windows 10 and Office365
