You will be joining the advisory group in the Industrial, Consumer and Energy Division, a pivotal part of our company that provides clients with strategic advice at the interface between technology and the commercial challenges of business. The role
To identify, abstract and analyse information to produce sustainability/market/technology insights in support of technology consultancy project work.
What you'll be doing
Working in teams of technologists and business consultants, with lots of support from your colleagues and peers, you will contribute sustainability expertise to projects delivering technology strategy advice to clients across a broad range of sectors. This will include:
- Gathering of information through primary and secondary research
- Analysing information, data and trends to develop strategic insight for clients
- Identifying and quantifying sustainability impacts for new technologies, products or services
- Evaluating and developing the business case for sustainable solutions
- Supporting the development of business propositions, market insight and other initiatives that shape our own strategy
- Developing reports and presenting findings to internal teams and clients
What you'll bring
We’re looking for applicants with the following experience or skills:
- An excellent degree in a sustainability-related discipline, or a business, engineering or scientific degree with significant sustainability-related content
- Passion for sustainability, technology and innovation
- Excellent team working skills
- A well-organised and structured approach/mindset
- A desire to solve problems
- Excellent oral and written communication
- Be a proficient multi-tasker
The following would be advantageous, but we would still encourage you to apply without:
- Demonstrable ability to distil results and draw meaningful conclusions from data
- Experience in bringing to life the potential of a technology through student business plan competition, entrepreneurship society or similar additional learning
- Any relevant experience gained through an internship, in a similar role in a consultancy or for example in a start-up would be advantageous
- Further degree demonstrating thought leadership, methodologies in sustainability analysis
