We are looking for a Learning & Development Advisor with strong coordination experience to support the department, business and its employees through a wide range of development activities. This is a very busy role with a wide range of responsibilities and tasks happening at once, supporting all areas of the learning & development department which requires an organised and self-motivated individual who likes to prioritise their own workload, and works well with a high volume of detailed tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Manage the coordination of Learning & Development activities, projects and training courses which will require the ability to maintain and pursue a number of workstreams at the same time
  • Regular effective communication with core departments and individuals around the business
  • Monthly reporting on key activities, working alongside the Learning & Development Manager, Quality Assurance team and Lab Guardians
  • Support and maintain the project activities within the department which are a mixture of annual projects and new projects which both require high levels of attention to detail and the ability to ensure we stay on schedule and complete the required tasks timely and accurately
  •  Ensure training courses are prepared and viable, working alongside internal trainers to ensure all requirements are met and the course is delivered, following up with post course requirements
  • Maintain any project plans, checklists or updates accurately
  • Work closely with the Learning & Development Manager to ensure workplans and new internal courses are implemented effectively
  • Support the wider Learning & Development team to provide a professional service to our employees
  • Regular data input to our Training Management Systems ensuring it is up to date

What you can bring

You will have experience working in a Learning & Development/Training function, or within a HR Department with L&D experience. You must demonstrate effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to enable you to build positive relationships with a wide audience around the business.

You must be able to prioritise your own workload, with the capability to work to a high standard, with strong attention to detail and the ability to work with a flexible approach in a fast-paced environment.

You will have experience working with IT packages (particularly Microsoft Office), and be comfortable working with multiple different systems at any one time.

The following would be advantageous, but are not essential:

  • Project Management Administration
  • Experience of using a Training or Learning Management System
