Main purpose of the role 

We are looking to hire a leader to drive the growth and exploitation of our technology capability in Human-Machine Understanding. You will be passionate about creating technology that interacts with and supports humans intelligently and empathically. The role will reflect your own strengths and ambitions, but will include wide ranging responsibilities such as defining our technology approach, team mentoring, building industry insight and communicating your vision for addressing some big societal challenges.

We are on a journey to create products, services and systems that are more psychologically compatible with users. This exciting work sits at the intersect of psychology, artificial intelligence and sensing to understand the behaviour, motivation and emotion of users. From systems that help operators of systems navigate difficult situations to making technology that supports people with dementia. 

You will be expected to:

  • Define a vision encompassing technology investment, and commercialisation
  • Provide technical leadership for investments and client projects 
  • Promote your vision and capabilities with key decision makers
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop customer relationships and sell technology development 
  • Help Cambridge Consultants achieve broad recognition as a technological leader in this sector

Minimum requirements
We are looking for a leading player, who:

  • Proven ability and track record of success in delivering complex, innovation projects
  • Ability to influence at senior management level and to match business needs with technology solutions
  • Understanding of state-of-the-art approaches in AI, HMI, computational neuroscience, behavioural science or similar
  • Has the leadership skills necessary to command the respect of skilled technologists and clients
  • Has excellent communication and interpersonal skills
