What we can offer

This is a great opportunity for an experienced mechanical engineer with the ambition and ability to achieve outstanding results within exciting markets in a dynamic, fast moving environment. You will be using your technical skills to contribute to product development projects and mentor juniors, with support and guidance from seniors, from initial idea generation through to the delivery and manufacturing support for market ready products. This may include:

  • Carrying out research into cutting edge technologies and markets
  • Taking part in concept generation and problem-solving workshops
  • Evaluating ideas using evidence from modelling (CFD & FEA) or experimentally obtained evidence
  • Preparation of detailed designs, from system to component level
  • Manufacturing of parts and assemblies, hands-on or by liaising with suppliers
  • Testing of designs to ensure they meet the client’s and end customers’ needs

You’ll have the opportunity to steer your career along the path of your choice, whether you prefer meeting and talking with clients or perhaps leading large teams on multiple projects. Our collaborative and supportive working environment allows our engineers to quickly develop their skills and knowledge in unfamiliar areas, enabling us to drive the development of cutting-edge technologies evolving at a rapid pace.

What you can bring

You will have the ability to communicate with peers and clients to understand their problems and present your solutions; using maths and physics to solve complex engineering problems, especially those involving fluid mechanics, heat/mass transfer or thermodynamics.

You will also be competent in designing elegant solutions to client’s problems and obtain and analyse simulated/empirical test data to gain insights into design performance.
