We are looking for a skilled electronic hardware technician to support testing activities for our rapidly growing team.

You’ll be working alongside talented engineers and testers on innovative multidisciplinary projects solving interesting and challenging problems for clients. High quality work is essential from every team member, as is a strong desire to learn to develop and implement solutions with different technologies and for different target markets.

Responsibilities

As an electronic hardware technician, it is anticipated that you will:

  • Work with engineers and testers to set up, deploy, maintain and decommission test rigs, particularly focussing on our satellite communications projects
  • Help create and maintain the hardware equipment log including faults, calibration, maintenance and location / usage
  • Communicate successfully with stakeholders
  • Be proactive in engaging with developers during development/test cycles

What you can bring

You will have familiarity with setting up, maintaining and operating electronic lab test kit including power and communications equipment, with an understanding of electronics concepts. You will have an appreciation of electrical safety, and be able to communicate effectively at all levels. It is also important that you have strong organisational skills.

It would be advantageous if you had any of the following:

  • Practical experience in a product development environment
  • Understanding of software
  • Experience of regulatory compliance
  • Experience with RF test equipment e.g. Spectrum Analysers
  • Familiarity with RF test methods and standard RF blocks such as filters, splitters
