Affective Computing

We are looking for an expert in affective computing to join our team.

We are on a journey to create products, services and systems that are more psychologically compatible with users. This exciting work sits at the intersect of psychology, artificial intelligence and sensing to understand the behaviour, motivation and emotion of users. From systems that help operators of systems navigate difficult situations to making technology that supports people with dementia.

Successful candidates will be helping to define a research agenda to develop state of the art emotion understanding and simulation, for systems that make intelligent decisions based on the needs of the user.

The work may range from purely theoretical all the way to world first systems that delight and amaze users.

If you have a drive to create new things, join us in the mission to create truly empathic technology.

  • You will likely have a degree in Computer Science or similar with specialisation in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Computational Neuroscience, or related technical field
  • Should have experience working with affect- or emotion-related data (e.g., physiological signals, audio or image data, behavioural data, self-reports)
