We are building our digital service innovation team and are looking for candidates with the experience and skills to help our clients bring innovative digital services to market. The roles we are looking for are:

We are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience in one of these roles, combined with an ability in at least one of the others. This is because in some projects you will need to be flexible across these roles. These are senior roles and you will be working closely with other teams of specialists around the business.

The role of Senior Product Owner acts as a vital bridge between client ambition, user insight and the art-of-the-possible. This is a role that demands deep client empathy, careful facilitation of specialist skills and pragmatic trade-offs between multiple conflicting needs in order to allow the team to discover, design and deliver the best possible successful outcome.

All of this is within exciting and fast-moving technologies where your ideas will push the limits of what has been done before. We expect you to keep well informed of new digital technologies and development techniques.

You must be inquisitive – to ask ‘why?’ and ‘how?’ To think about the experience and user needs and understand why one approach will probably work better than another.

As an experienced service owner, you will be able to:

  • Work with clients to refine ambitions and communicate how our team can help them
  • Understand the business drivers and commercial context of our clients’ ambitions
  • Form the vision for the service and engage developers and other stakeholders in the delivery of that vision over time
  • Take full responsibility for shaping a service end-to-end and communicate with stakeholders throughout the process
  • Help clients to overcome obstacles and take operational ownership for services as they go live and become evolving in-service products
  • Represent users throughout the delivery process and use their feedback to inform continuous improvement

You will understand the trends – for example digital twins or Artificial Intelligence of Things, or the potential of 5G private networking – and you know what the market is like; these might be outdated by the time you are reading this. You have to keep moving with the technology trends.
