To support the continued growth of Cambridge Consultants’ Bioinnovation capability, we’re looking for a technology leader able to engage with clients and take responsibility for architecting and delivering breakthrough innovation projects that transform businesses.

Day-to-day you will be working closely with the Bioinnovation team and a wide range of Cambridge Consultants colleagues including sales/business developers, senior technologist and engineering delivery teams in conjunction with client engineers and business leaders to architect, design and deliver multidisciplinary innovation projects centred on Bioinnovation.

The role includes wide ranging responsibilities ranging from supporting marketing, responding to new client briefs, presenting proposals, and leading talented teams to deliver impactful projects.

Specific Responsibilities

You will be a key member of the global Bioinnovation leadership team responsible for supporting the growth of our Bioinnovation business.

This will involve:

  • Working as part of a dynamic team to engage with current and new clients to understand their challenges and to develop and present outstanding technical proposals for how we can solve their challenges at the cutting edge of Bioinnovation
  • Providing technical leadership to multidisciplinary engineering teams alongside programme and commercial peers to deliver high-innovation projects.  This will include solution architecture, team leadership, client management and delivery of technically excellent results
  • Supporting our marketing activities as a credible thought-leader to promote our capabilities and encourage new client enquiries
  • Contributing to Bioinnovation team strategy, planning and go-to-market activities to grow our overall business globally

Requirements

You will likely be an experienced engineering management professional who has demonstrated impact and ability to successfully define and deliver advanced technology projects. This will be evidenced by you having many of the following:

  • An excellent grasp of the specific challenges of systems engineering applied to innovation that exploits biology
  • Proven ability and track record of success in defining and delivering complex, high-value, innovation projects
  • Proven ability to influence at senior management level and to match business needs with technology solutions
  • Experience working in a technology-based environment – an ability to work well with multidisciplinary teams
  • A STEM degree in an appropriate technical field with second technical degree desirable
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
