We are looking for a self-motivated and talented external communications professional to manage media relations and our social media channels.

The main purpose of the role is to lead all our external communications activities, using both traditional print and broadcast media and our online media channels to support the business globally and get the Cambridge Consultants brand noticed.

Our Public Relations activities are strategically important to support company growth and to build strong brand awareness especially in North America and Asia. What we can offer

As the external communications manager you will have the opportunity to develop and implement CC’s external communications strategy, working collaboratively across the business to ensure it supports the company’s plans for growth in specific regions and market sectors, and to support initiatives to cross-fertilise strategic technology thought leadership. You will also –

  • Develop and build media relations with targeted publications using the Meltwater media monitoring and analysis tools to design and optimise our PR and deliver our announcements to targeted journalists
  • Be the primary point of contact for Media enquiries managing incoming media requests for information, organising spokespeople and administering media interviews
  • Oversee the day-to-day operation of all Cambridge Consultants social media. Manage and facilitate social media communities by responding to social media posts and developing discussions. As well as researching and analysing social media trends, to improve social media presence and campaign efficacy.
  • Measure the effectiveness of our communications activities and channels on an on-going basis and report on performance against relevant KPIs
  • Provide clear guidelines and training to ensure CC employees adhere to relevant external communication processes including those from our parent company (CapGemini)


What you can bring

  • A demonstrable and successful track record managing all aspects of external communications for a complex multinational organisation, interacting with a range of senior stakeholders, either within a technology-based business or consultancy firm
  • Ideally you will have a degree in a journalism, communication, marketing, or any other related subject
  • Be an excellent communicator, with a confident and engaging story writing style, along with impressive presentation and organisational skills
  • Proven experience of delivering successful social media campaigns, demonstrating how you have grown audiences and engagement on a range of channels, specifically LinkedIn, Twitter, Facebook and Instagram
  • Be “hands-on”, with a keen eye for detail, proficient at multitasking and will both ‘think and do’ – to create the strategy and then work with colleagues up to CEO level in our business globally to realise it
  • Proven planning and organisation skills combined with experience of managing and mentoring other people within a team
