Full Details

The appeal of the role is defined by our business model. Clients come to us to gain competitive advantage by delivering innovative solutions to market in rapid time. This means your work will be hands-on, meaningful and rich with the reward of guiding projects from conception and design right through to manufacture and launch.

We’re busy across consumer electronics, energy, sustainability and agriculture among others, developing products that have significant impact on industries and markets. Recent examples include our world-first wireless control system that helped Ocado, the world’s largest online grocery retailer, to transform its robotic warehouse automation.

As well as the tangible benefit of first-hand design work on a day-to-day basis, you can expect career progression from the leadership requirements of line management. Positive, supportive and inspirational mentoring of your team will be key. This is a great opportunity to put your passion and experience to good use as you lead your team to deliver ground-breaking technical solutions.

As DFM Group Leader, you’ll play an active and important role as part of the departmental leadership team, collaborating with senior colleagues to set the direction and strategy for day-to-day operations, training, recruitment and growth. There’ll also be plenty of opportunities to work together with other experts across the company – from a range of backgrounds and skillsets – on all aspects of best engineering practice.

We have a comprehensive job description to discuss with the right person. If you have strong client-facing skills, a willingness to travel from time to time and wide mechanical experience encompassing everything from contractual negotiations and supplier audits to supply chain management and transfer to manufacture, we’d love to hear from you.
