If you are an experienced Account Manager adept in the art of relationship building and keen to embrace a variety of diverse projects, it could be just the role for you.

Naturally, we would expect you to have a successful record of achievement delivering technical solutions in the defence and security sector. You’ll also be used to developing customised work programmes that respond to the very specific needs of clients. Crucially, you will need to be in tune with our commercial approach, which is founded on earning repeat business from established client relationships.

These are busy times at Cambridge Consultants, and we need an Account Manager to join our successful team to grow our defence and security business, particularly through our work with UK Government clients. So, as well as having great rapport, you’ll need to be a real dynamo who relishes the search for new openings within existing accounts and can identify sales opportunities, maximise conversions and personally close sales.


Developing your knowledge and collaborating widely…

That will mean developing your deep domain knowledge, and collaborating widely with our engineers, mathematicians, designers and strategists to deliver the breakthrough technology needed to solve our clients’ problems. You’ll be spending plenty of time with those clients, interpreting their needs and communicating effectively with colleagues back in Cambridge to ensure opportunities are maximised. Much of this will be face-to-face, so efficient time-management is vital.
